How difficult is it to change a oil pump in a 92 honda civic???

not very, the pump will cost you about 130$-180$

and heres how to replace it ....

1.Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.Raise and safely support the vehicle.

3.Drain the engine oil.

4.Bring the No. 1 cylinder to TDC. The mark on the crankshaft pulley should align with the index mark on the timing cover.

5.Remove the necessary accessory drive belts and the crankshaft pulley.

6.Remove the valve cover and the timing belt covers.

7.Remove the following components:

1.Timing belt tensioner.

2.Timing belt.

3.Timing belt drive pulley.

8.Remove the oil pan and oil screen.

9.Remove the oil pump mount bolts and the oil pump assembly.

Reverse the steps with the new pump in its place and your good to go... if your a newb with cars this could take a good bit but if you've changed your oil and battery before this should be an easy job for you... just a bolt out and on est time about 2 hours... again longer if your a newbHow difficult is it to change a oil pump in a 92 honda civic???
Okay, there is no way the guy below me can do that job in 2 hours by himself! Changing a timing belt (for a mechanic) with a couple helpers takes at least 2-3 hrs by itself! A tb job for one person would take an entire afternoon without a professional lift or pit. If you had to ask that question, you're better off letting a pro do it.
