v6 or v8 first remove the distributer and distributer shaft remove oil pan after draining oil pump will be on distributer end two bolts remove them and oil pickup tube i always use millings brand pumps they are the cheapest and best replace parts in reverse orderbefore you install the distributer shaft after the oil is back in motor and pan is not leaking find a long cheap regular screwdriver cut off handle insert it in drill and put in in place of distributer shaft to pump up the oilthen remove drill put dist shaft in then distributer and wala your done about 1.5 hour job.Oil pump on a 1984 buick lesabre and how to change it?
